How GURPS works: When you attempt something risky, roll 3 six-sided dice (3d6). Roll equal to or under your skill number to succeed. A 10 succeeds 50% of the time. A 14 succeeds ~91% of the time. Rolling a 3 or 4 is always a critical success. Rolling a 17 or 18 is always a critical failure.
